What Happens at a Settlement Conference
Settlement Conference mediation provides divorcing couples represented by attorneys an opportunity to accomplish settlement before expending the resources on preparing their case for trial. A neutral perspective from the experienced mediator can often be just what the case needs to get to the finish line.
Attorneys for the couple provide a brief that identifies the issues and proposed solutions to each other and to the mediator.
The mediator works with the parties, both separately and together, to explore options, provide reality checks, and to work through any sticking points.
Upon settlement the mediator or an assigned attorney will prepare the paperwork to finish the case in lieu of going to trial.

Full Day Settlement Conference
